We are a small, independent record label specializing in Conjunto music and we’re based in our hometown of Austin, Texas. We are a project of Rancho Alegre, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization best known for the annual Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival here in Austin and for in-depth long-form oral histories and interviews with Conjunto and Tejano musicians from all over Texas.
Our role varies from project to project. Sometimes we only provide marketing and distribution support and sometimes we produce the entire project. Since we also have a significant number of live recordings from our festivals and shows, we are releasing those on CD and DVD, available for sale from the artists themselves or through our online store.
Baldomero Cuellar is our Executive Producer and Head Queso. Piper LeMoine handles the marketing, engineering and distribution, with assistance from other staff members.
We have professional in-house CD and DVD production capabilities for short runs of physical product and also make recordings available on all digital platforms when possible. We released Brenda Martinez – Favoritas de Mis Padres as well as Los Cucuys de Rodney Rodriguez – Tanto Tanto on vinyl LP.
